Hoyo de Monterrey integrates a new vitola to its LCDH catalog: the Escogidos. It is the brand’s third vitola available exclusively at La Casa del Habano points of sale. It joins the Elegantes LCDH (Tacos – 47 x 158 mm) and the Epicure de Luxe LCDH(Mágicos – 52 x 115 mm). Thanks to the Escogidos, Hoyo de Monterrey is, together with San Cristóbal de la Habana, one of the two brands with the most cigars in exclusivity within the La Casa del Habano portfolio.

La Casa del Habano is a franchise of Habanos S.A. which to date has no less than 140 “Casas” around the world. The first one was inaugurated in 1990 in Cancún, Mexico. This international network of specialized stores exclusively distributes Habanos S.A. products. Some specialties, such as Hoyo de Monterrey Escogidos, are produced exclusively for these “Casas“. These are the famous “LCDH” editions identifiable by their double band. In addition, new products are always available in preview.

The vitola chosen by Hoyo de Monterrey to introduce this novelty is the Pacos (49 x 180mm). This is a relatively rare vitola because, to date, no Habanos brand offers this vitola in their regular production. In fact, since the disappearance of El Morrofrom San Cristóbal de la Habana in 2013, it has been reused only once as regional edition with the Punch Sir David of 2018 exclusively for Hong Kong.

The Escogidos are available in boxes of 10 cigars. Each box is covered with dark purple lacquer. To reinforce its exclusive character, the Escogidos is dressed with a double band: the classic band of the brand and the “wine lees” band exclusively reserved for La Casa del Habano exclusivities, bearing the logo representing atobacco leaf.

This Hoyo de Monterrey novelty will immediately seduce aficionados with its perfect construction and imposing look. The harmony of aromas of dried grass, spices and coriander, punctuated by notes of cedar and earth offer an exceptional aromatic profile. This is the result of the tobacco leaves carefully selected in the Vuelta Abajo.
